Manchester United are keen on beating the likes of Real Madrid to the signature of Real Mallorca starlet Joan Sastre, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are keen on a move to sign the lower league hotshot this summer.

According to the same story, Sastre has been attracting interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs due to his fine form in recent months, and Manchester United are among his suitors.

The 21-year-old played a key role in Mallorca’s title-winning season in Spain’s Segunda Division B – Group 3, which promoted them back to the second tier of Spanish football.

According to the same report, Sastre is also attracting interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Villarreal in Spain.

And other European clubs reportedly interested in his signature include Hamburg and Borussia Monchengladbach.

Manchester United are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to guide the Red Devils to the Premier League title next season.

The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
