Top midfielder responds to Man United transfer speculation
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic refuses to be drawn on speculation linking him with a possible transfer to Man United this summer
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has remained coy when asked about his future as he continues to be linked with a possible transfer to Manchester United this summer.
The Serbian has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League recently and Manchester United are thought to be keen on bringing him to Old Trafford this summer.
According to Metro, Jose Mourinho has ordered Manchester United scouts to keep tabs on the 23-year-old midfielder recently and the Red Devils could be set to make a bid to try and bring him to Old Trafford this summer.
There is yet to be any official announcement about the Lazio star’s future, and the midfielder has now said that he will wait until after the World Cup before making a decision about his situation.
Milinkovic-Savic is quoted as saying by Metro: “I am trying to remain concentrated, even though every day I read something new about me,’said Milinkovic-Savic at a press conference.
“Obviously, I feel pressure on me and know that I’ll have to live with this situation throughout the World Cup. It’s the same pressure as when I play for Lazio, so I am accustomed to it.
“I will decide where to continue my career after the World Cup There’s a very good atmosphere among the squad and it feels like I’ve been here for years. I can’t wait to start the tournament.”
Manchester United have already made two summer transfer signings after having wrapped up deals to bring both Diogo Dalot and Fred to Old Trafford last week.
Mourinho is believed to be on the lookout for a number of top signings this summer as he bids to build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
