Man United star drops hint he’s staying this summer
Chris Smalling has indicated that he is planning on staying at Man United beyond the summer transfer window
Chris Smalling has dropped his biggest hint yet that he’ll be staying at Manchester United this summer via a post on social media.
The defender’s future has been something of a source of uncertainty recently, especially given that the Red Devils are being linked with moves for a new centre-half this summer.
The 28-year-old ended up being a regular fixture in the Manchester United starting line-up last season as he notched up 28 Premier League starts for Jose Mourinho’s men, scoring four goals for the Red Devils.
Now, the England international has appeared to indicate that he is planning to stay at Manchester United and start next season with the Red Devils via a post on Twitter.
After Manchester United’s official account tweeted a link to the full list of Premier League fixtures for next season after they were revealed on Thursday, Smalling wrote in response: “Can’t wait. 🙌🏽 #MUFC #GGMU.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as the Red Devils look to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
The Red Devils have already concluded deals for both midfielder Fred and full-back Diogo Dalot as they look to try and win the title for the first time since 2013 next term.
