The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils are now exploring options to bring in a back-up forward for Romelu Lukaku as they look to continue bolstering their squad this summer.
The same story says that Manchester United have held a long-standing interest in left-backs Alex Sandro and Kieran Tierney, but they are now prepared to put their hunt for a new full-back on hold.
According to the same article, Mourinho is willing to put off recruitment at left-back and instead focus on bringing in a new striker this summer as cover for Romelu Lukaku.
The same story says that Manchester United have been keeping tabs on both West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic and Juventus’ Mario Mandzukic, but that they are still exploring other attacking options this summer.
Manchester United began their summer recruitment drive last week by tying up deals for both Diogo Dalot and Fred as Mourinho looks to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
They finished second and without a trophy last term.
