The 23-year-old Lazio midfielder has been strongly touted as a target for the Red Devils in recent days as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements as they bid to try and build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League title next term.
