Gareth Bale’s agent has laughed off talk suggesting that the Real Madrid star could move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.

The Real Madrid attacker’s future has been a source of speculation in recent weeks after the 28-year-old publicly admitted that he would be considering his future this summer.

Bale helped to fire Real Madrid to a 3-1 Champions League final win over Liverpool FC last month before admitting that he wants to secure regular playing time for next season.

Manchester United are among the clubs to have been touted as a possible destination for the midfielder this summer should he leave Real Madrid.

Now, Bale’s agent Johnathan Barnett, who is an Arsenal fan, has admitted that it is highly unlikely that The Emirates could be his destination this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Barnett said: “(As an Arsenal fan) I’d love him to play there but it’s got as much chance as me going to the moon.”

Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in a then world record transfer deal back in the summer of 2013.

The attacker has helped the Spanish club to win the Champions League trophy for the last three seasons running before Zinedine Zidane stood down at the end of last season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, confirmed their second signing of the summer on Tuesday by tying up a deal for goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
