Real Madrid enter the race to sign top Liverpool FC target – report
Real Madrid enter the race to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon as Liverpool FC look set to miss out, say reports
Real Madrid have entered the race to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon as Liverpool FC risk missing out on the forward, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Spanish giants are expressing an interest in landing the 24-year-old attacker, who was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool FC this summer.
Indeed, Liverpool FC were thought to be on the verge of completing a deal to sign Fekir earlier this month, only for the proposed transfer to fall through.
Now, the same article is carrying quotes from Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, who claims that Real Madrid are among the clubs keen on signing the France international.
Liverpool FC are thought to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer as they look for a long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who left to join FC Barcelona back in January.
The Reds finished fourth in the Premier League table last season and will be looking to try and launch a title bid next term.
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC have already confirmed their first signing of the summer transfer window after completing a deal to bring Fabinho to the club from Monaco at the start of the month.
