Ever Banega wants assurances from Unai Emery about playing time before signing for Arsenal this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet La Colina de Nervion, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Gunners are keen on a deal to bring the central midfielder to The Emirates this summer.

However, the same report claims that the 29-year-old first wants assurances that he will be afforded a regular role in the first team, as well as updates about the team’s playing style.

According to the same article, Banega is not fully convinced about a move to The Emirates and first wants to speak to Emery before making a decision.

Meanwhile, Arsenal completed their second signing of the summer transfer window on Tuesday night when they tied up a deal to bring Bernd Leno to the club from Bayer Leverkusen.

The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of key signings this summer as Emery looks to build a squad capable of at least breaking back into the top four next season.

Arsenal have missed out on top four finishes for the last two seasons running under Arsene Wenger – and they have not won the title since 2004.
