Arsenal are more likely to conclude a deal to sign Gelson Martins than Cristian Pavon this summer, according to reports in the British media.

Website football.london, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the north London side are keen on a move to sign Martins this summer as Unai Emery looks to add another wide player to his squad.

The same report says that the Gunners are looking to bring in Martins, who would be available on a free transfer after he terminated his contract at Sporting Lisbon.

According to the same story, Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Martins this summer as they ponder a move to try and bring him to The Emirates.

The same article says that Arsenal are unlikely to make a move for Boca Juniors starlet Pavon this summer despite having tracked the 22-year-old for some time.

And that’s due to their restricted transfer budget this summer ahead of next season.

Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Emery looks to build a team capable of at least breaking back into the top four next season.

The north London side finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term.
