Hector Bellerin has laughed off suggestions that he could be on his way out of Arsenal any time soon.

The Spaniard has made the right-back role his own at The Emirates in recent seasons and has earned praise for the way he has improved his game over the last few years.

Bellerin has been linked with a return to FC Barcelona in recent years after having come through the club’s academy in Spain.

However, the defender has now moved to clear up any uncertainty about his future by insisting that he is fully committed to the north London club.

Bellerin is quoted as saying by the Independent: “It is crazy that people ask me these questions all the time.

“A few years ago I signed a very long-term contract. I have never said that I have wanted to be anywhere else.

“I am very happy in London. I am very happy at this club.

“The club have made me who I am and gave me the chance to be the footballer I am today. So I don’t want to be anywhere else.”

Arsenal are currently getting used to life under new manager Unai Emery after he was brought in as Arsene Wenger’s successor back in May.

The north London side ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy under Wenger last term.

The Gunners will be aiming to at least be among the contenders for a top four finish next season after they missed out on Champions League qualification for the last two years running.

They have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph back in 2003-04.
