Arsenal began their pre-season preparations at London Colney last week

Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey both looked to be in high spirits as Arsenal began their pre-season preparations last week.

The north London club reported back to London Colney to begin their pre-season preparations last Monday as they gear up for their first season under new manager Unai Emery.

Mkhitaryan and Ramsey are among the Arsenal first-team stars who did not participate in this summer’s World Cup in Russia, and so they have reported back with the first batch of Gunners players.

Arsenal fans will be hoping to at least see their team break back into the top four next season after the Gunners finished in sixth place and without a trophy last term.

Mkhitaryan is gearing up for his first full season at Arsenal after having signed for the Gunners from Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Ramsey, meanwhile, will be looking to impress new manager Emery ahead of the Spaniard’s first campaign in charge of the club.

Here are some of the best pictures from one of Arsenal’s latest pre-season training session at London Colney last week.
