Arsenal want to sign Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that the north London side are keen on a move to bring the Uruguayan midfielder to The Emirates this summer.

Unai Emery has already been busy in the summer transfer window, with the Gunners having brought in five new players so far ahead of his first campaign in charge at the club.

And according to the same story, the Spanish manage is a keen admirer of Bentancur and he is keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old this summer.

The same article claims that Spanish side FC Barcelona are also expressing an interest in landing Bentancur this summer.

Arsenal have already brought in Bernd Leno, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira so far this summer as Emery prepares for his first season in charge at The Emirates.

The Spanish coach was brought in as Arsene Wenger’s successor at The Emirates back in May after the Frenchman opted to step down as Gunners boss at the end of last season.

Arsenal have not won the Premier League since their famous unbeaten triumph back in 2004.
