Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that Spurs are interested in a deal to sign the former Blackburn Rovers star to improve their options in the middle of the park.
The same article states that Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has singled out N’Zonzi as the perfect candidate to replace want-away Belgium international Moussa Dembele in the current transfer market.
According to the same story, Tottenham are hoping to secure a transfer fee in the region of £26.5million (€30m) for Dembele which Spurs could use to activate N’Zonzi’s £35m (€40m) release clause.
The report goes on to confirm that Arsenal boss Unai Emery is keen to reunite with the France international after the Spanish head coach worked with the versatile midfielder at Sevilla.
Towering midfielder N’Zonzi has spent three seasons at Sevilla following his move to Spanish top-flight football from Premier League side Stoke City in the 2015 summer transfer window.
Arsenal finished in sixth spot in the Premier League under Arsene Wenger last season and three places behind Tottenham in the top four.
