Arsenal have earmarked Andre Gomes, Steven N’Zonzi and Ever Banega as potential replacements for Aaron Ramsey, according to a report in England.

Website Football.London, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Gunners are preparing for the possibility that Ramsey will leave the north London club.

The same article states that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery is eager to keep Ramsey at The Emirates but the Wales international will be sold if he doesn’t agree to a new contract.

Ramsey has little over 12 months to run on his current deal with Arsenal to open up the possibility of a free transfer next summer,

According to the same story, Emery has identified Gomes, N’Zonzi and Banega as candidates to replace Ramsey despite the Spanish head coach’s desire to keep the Welsh midfielder.

The Gunners have already been very busy in the summer transfer window following their sixth-placed finish in Arsene Wenger’s final season in charge at Arsenal.

Arsenal signed experienced Switzerland international Stephan Lichtsteiner in a free transfer from Serie A giants Juventus.

The Gunners have also brought in Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a £20m deal.

The north London outfit have also brought on Greece international Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund earlier this week.

Lucas Torreira became the fourth summer signing at Arsenal on Tuesday evening.
