Soyuncu is being linked with a move to Arsenal following his impressive performances in the Bundesliga over the past 12 months.
The 22-year-old has scored one goal in 30 appearances in all competitions in the 2017-18 season.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth believes Soyuncu is a legitimate target for the north London side in the summer transfer window.
“There is talk of Caglar from Freiburg. There is an interest from Arsenal in that player,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
Arsenal signed experienced Switzerland international Stephan Lichtsteiner in a free transfer from Serie A giants Juventus.
The Gunners have also brought in Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a £20m deal.
The north London outfit have also brought on Greece international Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund earlier this week.
