Arsenal determined to sign Argentina international – report
Arsenal are keen to try and sign Cristian Pavon this summer, according to reports
Arsenal are determined to try and complete a deal to sign Cristian Pavon this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet AS, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the north London side are keen to try and secure a deal to sign the Argentina international after having previously failed with a bid back in January.
The 22-year-old Boca Juniors star has been coming to terms with his country’s exit at the World Cup at the hands of France at the last 16 stage on Saturday.
According to the same report, Boca Juniors rejected a transfer bid of around £27m for Pavon earlier in the transfer window back in January.
The same story says that Arsenal still retain an interest in signing the forward this summer as they look to try and add to their attacking options ahead of next season.
New Arsenal manager Unai Emery is believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as he looks to assemble a squad at least capable of breaking back into the top four next season.
The Gunners ended up in sixth place in the Premier League table last season and without a trophy.
