Arsenal are considering a swoop to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Goncalo Guedes, according to a report
Unai Emery is keen for Arsenal to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Goncalo Guedes, according to a report.
Spanish media outlet Cadena Cope, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that Arsenal are interested in a deal to sign the 21-year-old attacker.
The same article states that Arsenal will have to battle with Serie A giants Inter Milan to sign the Portugal international in the summer transfer window.
According to the same story, the Ligue 1 champions would consider selling Guedes for a transfer fee in the region of £35m.
Cadena Cope go on to suggest that Guedes wants to remain in the Champions League for another season but Arsenal finished outside the top four.
The Gunners have appointed Unai Emery as their new manager following his stint in charge of PSG over the past two seasons.
The north London side have already signed Switzerland international Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus to bolster their defensive options.
Emery recruited Germany international Bernd Leno in a £20m switch from Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen last month.
The Gunners announced their third summer signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Arsenal haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04 when Arsene Wenger’s side finished the season without a loss.
