Arsenal are in talks to sign Lorient midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Gunners are keen on bringing 19-year-old to The Emirates this summer as Unai Emery looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The same story says that Arsenal are closing in on the signing of the French teenager after he was also linked with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
He played 20 times for Lorient last season and was unable to help the French side achieve promotion back to Ligue 1.
The article goes on to claims that the north London side are also closing in on the signing of Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira after his participation at the World Cup was ended last week following his country’s defeat by France.
The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to assemble a team at least capable of breaking back into the top four next season.
Arsenal finished in sixth place in the Premier League table and without a trophy in Arsene Wenger’s final campaign in charge last season.
