Unai Emery wants Arsenal to pursue Bayern Munich star – report
Unai Emery is keen to bring Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman to Arsenal this summer, according to a report
Unai Emery is interested in a potential deal to sign France star Kingsley Coman from Bayern Munich, according to a report in England.
The Daily Express is reporting that the new Arsenal boss is eager to sign the French forward to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new season.
The same article states that the Bundesliga giants would be reluctant to lose Coman given Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are nearing the end of their career.
The Gunners have already signed five players in the summer transfer window as Emery overhauled the Arsenal squad following his appointment as Arsene Wenger’s successor.
The Spanish head coach recruited Switzerland captain Stephan Lichtsteiner in a free transfer from Serie A giants Juventus to improve his options at the back.
The Arsenal boss has also signed Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno in a £20m deal to provide competition for Petr Cech and David Ospina in goal.
The Gunners snapped up Greece international Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund earlier this month.
Sampdoria and Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira became the fourth addition at The Emirates last week before Lorient teenager Matteo Guendouzi finalised a move.
Arsenal finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season.
