Chelsea FC ‘braced’ for Man United transfer bid – report
Chelsea FC are "braced" for a bid from Man United to sign Willian this summer, according to reports
Chelsea FC are “braced” for a Manchester United bid to sign Willian this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues are expecting the Red Devils to make a move to try and sign Willian this summer as they look to bolster their options ahead of next season.
The same report says that despite the fact that Maurizio Sarri is widely expected to take over at Stamford Bridge this summer, Willian’s future remains up in the air.
The Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but a transfer failed to materialise for the attacker.
It was reported last week that Chelsea FC have already turned down a bid from FC Barcelona for Willian, and the same story says that the west London side are now expecting a similar approach from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for some attacking reinforcements this summer as they look to build a squad capable of winning the title next season.
Manchester United finished in second place and without a trophy in Jose Mourinho’s second campaign in charge at Old Trafford last term.
