Chelsea FC and Manchester City are unlikely destinations for Gareth Bale this summer, Dharmesh Sheth has claimed.

The Wales international has been linked with a move to the Premier League following a stop-start season at Real Madrid.

Bale fell behind Marcos Asensio, Isco and Luis Vazquez in the 2017-18 campaign to raise questions about the Welshman’s future.

The 29-year-old spoke out about his future after his two goals from the bench in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win against Liverpool FC in the Champions League final.

Bale has regularly been linked with a move to Manchester United but a deal hasn’t come to fruition despite the regular transfer speculation.

Chelsea FC and Manchester City could also afford Bale’s asking price should Real Madrid show a willingness to sell the ex-Tottenham star.

Sky Sports News reporter Sheth ruled out Chelsea FC or Manchester City signing the Welsh winger this summer.

“Chelsea don’t have Champions League football next season so no chance [of Bale joining],” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.

“Where would he fit in at Man City? You’re talking about a team that got 100 points last season.”

Chelsea FC were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season.
