Chelsea FC are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Jorginho from Napoli this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Calciomercato is reporting that the Blues are set to bring the Brazil born Italy international to Stamford Bridge along with manager Maurizio Sarri.
The same article claims that Jorginho has now travelled back to Naples from Milan, after having discussed the details of his move to Stamford Bridge.
The story says that the deal is “close” to happening as the west London side close in on their first signing of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old Italy midfielder scored two goals and made four assists in 33 Serie A games last season.
Chelsea FC will be looking to significantly strengthen their squad this summer as they look to try and build a team capable of challenging for the Premier League next season.
The Blues ended up in a disappointing fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification for next term.
Chelsea FC did manage to end last season on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final to win their second major trophy under Antonio Conte.
