Maurizio Sarri sends reassuring message to Chelsea FC supporters
New Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri is confident the Blues can produce his brand of football
Maurizio Sarri is confident that the current Chelsea FC squad is capable of producing his brand of football.
The 59-year-old took over the reins of the west London side at the weekend following Antonio Conte’s dismissal last week.
Sarri has quite the challenge on his hands after the Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last season to miss out on a spot in the Champions League.
His star player Eden Hazard has been linked with a potential switch to La Liga giants FC Barcelona and Real Madrid since the conclusion of the 2017-18 season.
Chelsea FC number one goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is thought to be keen on a return to Madrid with either Atletico or Real.
N’Golo Kante and Willian have also been linked with potential switches to La Liga champions FC Barcelona in the current transfer market.
Sarri, though, is confident that he can get the current Chelsea FC crop to produce his brand of football that proved such a big hit at Napoli.
“With one or two adjustments we can try to play my football,” Sarri told Chelsea TV.
“I hope that fans can enjoy the team.
“Chelsea is one of the most important clubs in the most important championships in Europe. The problem is that in England there are another five, six very good teams.”
Chelsea FC completed their first summer signing at the weekend after the Blues signed Jorginho in a £57m deal from Serie A runners up Napoli.
The Blues beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final last term.
