Journalist gives update on Chelsea FC stars Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois
Chelsea FC are ready to reject approaches for Eden Hazard but could sell Thibaut Courtois, claims journalist
Chelsea FC are ready to reject any approaches for Eden Hazard this summer but may allow Thibaut Courtois to leave, according to Daily Telegraph reporter Matt Law.
Both of the Belgium stars’ futures at Stamford Bridge have been sources of uncertainty this summer, with Courtois’ contract at Chelsea FC set to expire next year and Hazard’s in 2020.
There has been plenty of speculation linking both players with moves to Real Madrid this summer as the Spanish side look to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Those reports have been fuelled by comments from both players, who have hinted that they are considering leaving Chelsea FC this summer.
Now, Daily Telegraph reporter Law has claimed that Chelsea FC could be tempted to sell Courtois this summer rather than risk losing the goalkeeper on a free transfer next year.
However, he also states that the Blues have no intention of letting playmaker Hazard leave the club.
Law wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea ready to reject Hazard offers but may allow Courtois to go #cfc.”
Chelsea FC are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer after Maurizio Sarri was confirmed as the club’s new manager over the weekend.
The Blues finished in fifth place last season and missed out on Champions League qualification.
