AC Milan are keen on a deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that AC Milan are considering a move to try and bring the 25-year-old Spanish striker back to Serie A this summer.

Morata’s future at Chelsea FC has been something of a source of speculation this summer after his mixed first campaign at Stamford Bridge.

The striker signed for the Blues from Real Madrid last July and hit the ground running at the club, but his form failed off towards the second part of the campaign.

According to the same story, Morata would be keen on a move back to Italy after having spent two years at Juventus before rejoining Real Madrid.

Chelsea FC are still believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and bolster their squad ahead of next season.

The Blues brought in Maurizio Sarri as their new manager over the weekend following the departure of Antonio Conte.

The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season and secured their first signing of the summer by bringing in Jorginho over the weekend.
