Maurizio Sarri out to make £27m first Chelsea FC signing – report
Mauricio Sarri will look to sign Russia star Aleksandr Golovin as his first Chelsea FC signing, say reports
Maurizio Sarri will look to make Russia star Aleksandr Golovin his first signing after taking over at Chelsea FC, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Italian manager is poised to be officially appointed as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge as the Blues look to start getting into shape ahead of next season.
The west London side are one of the few big clubs across Europe who are yet to make any new signings this summer, and that is largely thought to be down to the uncertainty about the managerial situation at Stamford Bridge.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from CSKA Moscow this summer, and Chelsea FC are now thought to be leading the race for his signature as they plan a £27m bid, according to the same report.
The same story says that Juventus were keen on signing Golovin this summer, but Chelsea FC are thought to be in pole position to secure his signature.
Chelsea FC are looking to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season after they finished in a disappointing fifth place in the table last term.
