Chelsea FC ready to try and sign 25-year-old Brazilian – report
Chelsea FC are keen on a deal to sign Alisson Becker from AS Roma this summer, say reports
Chelsea FC are interested in a deal to sign Alisson Becker from AS Roma this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues are considering making a move to bring the 25-year-old goalkeeper to Stamford Bridge amid the uncertainty about Thibaut Courtois’ future at the club.
Courtois’ current Chelsea FC contract is set to expire next summer and the Blues are unlikely to be willing to let his contract run down until next year.
The same report says that the Blues are prepared to listen to offers for Courtois this summer as they look to secure a goalkeeper on a long-term contract.
The story claims that Chelsea FC could be willing to let Courtois leave the club this summer if a bid of around £50m arrives for the Belgian shot-stopper.
The west London side are understandably wary about the prospect of losing the goalkeeper on a free transfer next summer.
The same story says that Chelsea FC have selected Alisson as their first-choice target should Courtois leave the club this summer, and that AS Roma value the Brazil international at around £60m.
Chelsea FC are yet to officially make any new signings this summer.
