Chelsea FC are pondering a move to re-sign Petr Cech if they lose Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Sky Sports is reporting that the Blues are considering trying to re-sign their former goalkeeper from the Gunners as the speculation about Courtois’ future at Stamford Bridge continues.
Courtois has been heavily linked with a move away from Chelsea FC in the last few weeks as his current contract is set to expire at the end of next season and he has not yet indicated that he will sign a new deal with the Blues.
According to the same story, Chelsea FC are also interested in Leicester City shot-stopper Kasper Schmeichel as they look to try and bolster their squad ahead of next season.
The article also cites sources in Belgium as saying that Real Madrid have made a €55m (£48.5m) offer to try and sign Courtois this summer, and that could prompt Chelsea FC to make a move to try and bring in a new goalkeeper.
Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their first season under new manager Maurizio Sarri after he was appointed as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.
