Chelsea FC are getting ready to make a new bid to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus this summer, according to reports.

Website Goal is reporting that the Blues are preparing to up their bid to try and sign the defender to more than £45m after Juventus rejected their initial approach for the Italy international.

The same report says that Chelsea FC first made an offer to try and sign Rugani earlier this month but their opening bid was rejected by the Serie A champions.

Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of Maurizio Sarri’s first campaign in charge at the club.

The west London side secured their first signing of the summer earlier this month when they tied up a deal to bring Jorginho to Stamford Bridge from Napoli.

Now, it remains to be seen whether the Blues will be successful in being able to tempt Juventus into selling Rugani this summer ahead of Sarri’s first season at the club.

Chelsea FC will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season after the Blues finished in fifth place last term.
