Chelsea FC ready to make first signing in £35m deal – report
Chelsea FC are set to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus, according to reports
Chelsea FC are set to land Daniele Rugani as their first summer signing, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues are set to tie up a deal to bring the Juventus defender to Stamford Bridge as their first signing of the summer transfer window.
The same story says that the Blues have made “significant progress” over their bid to try and sign Rugani this summer as they look to bring the 23-year-old to the west London club.
The same article says that Rugani has essentially accepted a deal to sign for Chelsea FC this summer as the club’s first recruit.
Chelsea FC are one of the only major clubs in Europe not to have made any new signings yet this summer, with the managerial uncertainty at Stamford Bridge affecting their transfer plans.
The Blues are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of at least breaking back into the top four next season.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth place last term as they missed out on Champions League qualification, before winning the FA Cup.
