Antonio Conte’s situation at Stamford Bridge has been a relentless source of speculation this summer after the Blues ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table and missed out on Champions League qualification for next season.
The west London side have been strongly linked with a move to bring Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri in as Conte’s replacement at Stamford Bridge for many weeks, but the deal was not concluded quickly.
Chelsea FC fans will be hoping to see the situation resolved quickly so that the Blues can then start strengthening their squad ahead of next season.
The west Londoners are the only major team in the Premier League not to have made any new signings this summer.
And Sky Sports reporter Sheth has now delivered the latest news on the situation at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “The information we are getting at the moment is it is looking more than likely that Sarri will be taking over at Stamford Bridge.
“Sarri’s representative has been in London. He is trying to finalise a deal. It is all being delayed due to compensation – not just Sarri but Conte as well.”
Chelsea FC ended up in fifth place last season but they did manage to end the campaign on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final.
