Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Blues could switch their hunt for a new goalkeeper onto the 19-year-old Italian after Alisson Becker ended up signing for Liverpool FC.
Chelsea FC are thought to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper this summer as the uncertainty about Thibaut Courtois’ situation at Stamford Bridge continues.
Courtois’ current contract at Chelsea FC is due to expire next summer and the Belgian is being strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid.
The same report says that Chelsea FC could be set to turn towards a deal for Donnarumma as Maurizio Sarri looks to strengthen his options between the posts ahead of next season.
Chelsea FC have been relatively quiet in the summer transfer market until now, with the Blues having only signed Jorginho so far this summer from Napoli.
