Olivier Giroud will snub a transfer to Marseille and stay and fight for his place at Chelsea FC, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the striker is set to stay on at Stamford Bridge and fight for a spot under new manager Maurizio Sarri next season.
Giroud has been settling into life at the west London club after having signed for the Blues from Arsenal in the January transfer window.
The striker was a regular fixture in the France team over the summer as he helped Les Bleus to win the World Cup title in Russia.
According to the same story, Giroud has already held talks with Marseille about the possibility of leaving Stamford Bridge for the French club this summer.
But it is now being claimed that the 31-year-old has his heart set on staying at Chelsea FC and fighting for a spot in the first team under Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea FC will be aiming to be one of the main contenders for the Premier League title next season as they look to try and bounce back from their disappointing fifth placed finish in the top flight last term.
