Chelsea FC have received a boost in their reported pursuit of Gonzalo Higuain after Juventus put him up for sale, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian outlet Calciomercato is reporting that the Argentine striker is now considered to be surplus to requirements in Turin this summer and he could be on his way out of the Serie A club.
The report comes just days after Juventus was confirmed as Cristiano Ronaldo’s next destination after he announced that he will be leaving Real Madrid this summer.
The same story says that Juventus are prepared to sell Higuain this summer after Ronaldo’s arrival, and that could be a significant boost for Chelsea FC.
According to the same report, Higuain will be available for a transfer fee of around €54m to €55m this summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.
The Blues will be looking to bounce back from their disappointment of missing out on Champions League qualification for next season, after they finished fifth in the table and won the FA Cup last term.
