Chelsea FC will have to pay upwards of £80m to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer, say reports
Chelsea FC have been told that they’ll have to shell out a huge £80m transfer fee if they want to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Italian side have slapped a huge price-tag on the defender, who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for some time.
The west London side have already successfully prised both manager Maurizio Sarri and midfielder Jorginho away from the Italian club this summer, and they are reportedly also keen on defender Koulibaly.
According to the same story, Napoli are want a massive initial fee for the stopper, plus add-ons which could take the total price for the 27-year-old close to nine figures.
Chelsea FC are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to try and build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next season.
The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term as they missed out on securing a place in the Champions League for next season.
However, they did win the FA Cup in Antonio Conte’s final game in charge.
