Newcastle United are keen on a move to sign Kenedy on loan from Chelsea FC for next season, according to reports in the British media.

Chronicle Live is reporting that the Magpies are keen to bring the Brazilian to St James’ Park once again after he spent a portion of last season on loan to Rafael Benitez’s side.

The same report claims that “extensive” discussions have been held between the two clubs this week and that Newcastle United are hoping to tie up a deal for Kenedy before the end of the week.

According to the same story, Kenedy has asked Chelsea FC for clarification about his future at the west London club.

Kenedy reportedly wants his future to be resolved before Chelsea FC head to Australia for their pre-season tour later this month.

The player himself is said to be open to a move to Newcastle United, but wants to know where he stands at Chelsea FC ahead of the new season.

Chelsea FC, meanwhile, are yet to officially announce any new signings this summer after having finished fifth in the Premier League table last season.

The west London side did end last term on a high by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final back in May.
