Italian outlet Il Tempo, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Blues are closing in on a deal to bring the 25-year-old goalkeeper to Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the same report, the Blues are closing in on securing the signing of Alisson on a contract worth around £100,000 a week, as Thibaut Courtois’ future at Stamford Bridge continues to be a source of uncertainty.
The same article says that Chelsea FC are on the lookout for a new goalkeeper because Courtois’ contract is set to expire at the end of next season.
Despite there having been plenty of speculation this summer, the west London side have not yet made any new signings ahead of next season.
The Blues are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new recruits this term as they look to try and build a squad capable of challenging for the Premier League title next term.
The west London side ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last term as they missed out on Champions League qualification, but they did manage to end the campaign on a high by winning the FA Cup.
