Jorginho is backing Maurizio Sarri to be a big success at Chelsea FC following his appointment this month.

The Italian manager was officially confirmed as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge last weekend as the Blues moved quickly to appoint the former Napoli boss ahead of next season.

Sarri has been tasked with steering Chelsea FC back into the top four of the Premier League next season after the west London side ended up fifth and missed out on Champions League qualification last term.

Jorginho followed his former Napoli boss to Stamford Bridge last weekend as his move to the west London club was confirmed on Saturday.

And the Italy international believes that Sarri will have a strong impact at Chelsea FC in the coming seasons as he bids to help restore them to the top of English football.

Speaking in an interview quoted by Sky Sports, Jorginho said: “He is someone who does wonderful work, he is right on top of everything that is going on on the pitch.

“When the weekend comes around and you have a game, you start that game knowing how every situation is going to pan out on the field offensively and defensively, and that is something that really helps you in your work.

“He is a very straightforward person, he is easy to communicate with, he is very approachable and that is something that also helps the players.”

Chelsea FC finished in fifth place in the Premier League and won the FA Cup last season in Conte’s final campaign in charge.

The Blues are thought to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.
