The 22-year-old midfielder’s situation has been a source of speculation recently due to his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge over the last few seasons.
Loftus-Cheek was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace last term and earned plenty of praise for his strong performances for the Eagles as he was rewarded for his fine form with a call-up to the England squad for the World Cup.
The England international’s situation continues to be a source of uncertainty this summer, and Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing him on a permanent contract.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has delivered the latest update on Loftus-Cheek’s situation at Chelsea FC.
Speaking to the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “He has three years left on his contract. Reading between the lines, he wants a base somewhere. He doesn’t want to keep going on loan.
“He wants to move to a club that wants him. Crystal Palace are one club who definitely wants him.
“A potential new manager might give him a lifeline at Stamford Bridge.”
Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer, but the Blues are yet to confirm any new arrivals.
The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League and won the FA Cup last term in Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge of the Blues.
