Chelsea FC are set to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus, says transfer insider Indykaila

Chelsea FC look set to pay a transfer fee of around £45m to sign Daniele Rugani from Juventus this summer, according to transfer insider Indykaila.

The Blues are thought to be keen on a deal to bring the Juventus defender to Stamford Bridge this summer following Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as the club’s new manager over the weekend.

The west London side are set to be busy in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window as they look to try and assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title next season.

Now, transfer insider Indykaila has claimed that the Blues are prepared to shell out a fee of as much as £45m to bring the 23-year-old Italian defender to the club this summer.

Indykaila wrote on Twitter: “Rugani to @ChelseaFC £45m 👀 #CFC”

Chelsea FC completed their first signing of the summer transfer window over the weekend when they announced a deal to land Jorginho from Napoli.

The Blues are likely to still be on the lookout for a number of other signings this summer as Sarri looks to revamp his squad.

The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season, meaning that they will have to settle for just Europa League football next term.
