Jorginho believes that his style of play is perfectly suited to Maurizio Sarri’s philosophy of play at Chelsea FC.

The Brazil born Italy international signed for the Blues as their first recruit of the summer transfer window last weekend as Sarri moved quickly to start bolstering his squad ahead of next season.

Jorginho will be hoping to make a quick start to his career at Stamford Bridge as he looks to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Chelsea FC next season.

The midfielder knows Sarri well after having played under the Italian manager at Napoli for the last few seasons.

And Jorginho believes that he is already perfectly suited to the style of play Sarri is set to implement at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking in an interview with Chelsea FC’s website, Jorginho said: “I think I have the right characteristics as a footballer for the type of football that he likes to play, and the type of football that he teaches and passes on to his team.

“When we were together at Napoli, it was a case of me taking on his mentality and putting that together with the characteristics I have as a footballer.”

Chelsea FC will be looking to at least challenge for the Premier League title next season as they bid to try and lift the trophy in Sarri’s first campaign at the club.

The Blues will have to make do without Champions League football next term after they finished in fifth place in the Premier League under Antonio Conte and won the FA Cup last term.
