Chelsea FC are confident that they will be able to wrap up a £57.5m double deal to bring both Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho to the club this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues are closing in on the signing of Jorginho ahead of Manchester City, and that they are set to appoint Sarri as Antonio Conte’s successor at Stamford Bridge.

According to the same story, the signing of Brazil-born Italy midfielder Jorginho is set to be the “key” in convincing Sarri to take over at the west London club this summer.

Jorginho had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City this summer, but Chelsea FC are now understood to be leading the race to sign him ahead of next season.

Chelsea FC are yet to officially announce any new signings this summer as they look to rebuild ahead of their disappointing campaign last season.

The west London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term as they missed out on Champions League qualification.

However, they did end the campaign on a positive note by beating Manchester United to win the FA Cup final at Wembley back in May.
