Chelsea FC considering £100m double bid from Real Madrid – report
Chelsea FC are seriously considering a double bid from Real Madrid for Thibaut Courtois and Willian, say reports
Chelsea FC are seriously considering a £100m double bid from Real Madrid for Thibaut Courtois and Willian this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Spanish side have made an opening offer of £100m for both players as they look to try and bring them to the Bernabeu before the close of the transfer window.
Both Willian and Thibaut Courtois’ futures at Chelsea FC have been constant sources of uncertainty this summer as Maurizio Sarri prepares for his first season at the club.
Courtois has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Willian’s future has also been a source of speculation due to his lack of playing time at Stamford Bridge last season.
Courtois has one year left on his current contract at Chelsea FC and the Blues will be likely to want to cash in this summer rather than risk losing him for free next year.
The same report says that Willian had looked set to join FC Barcelona this summer, but a deal fell through over the £70m asking price.
However, the Spanish giants ended up signing Malcom, and Real Madrid now want Willian as part of their deal for Courtois, with the Brazilian said to be making up around £65m of the bid.
