The Blues have made a very slow start to the summer transfer market, with the west London side yet to bring in any new players this summer despite their disappointing campaign last term.
The managerial situation at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of uncertainty this summer after Antonio Conte’s side finished in fifth place and won the FA Cup last season.
Maurizio Sarri has been strongly linked with the job but the move has reportedly been delayed due to financial reasons.
However, despite their slow start to the summer transfer market, Sky Sports News reporter Sheth has insisted that the Blues have been eyeing potential signings regardless of who will be on the touchline for Chelsea FC next season.
Speaking to the Sky Sports Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: “I believe – and it is the information I am getting – potential signings have been covered using both bases – Sarri staying or Conte staying.”
Chelsea FC will be looking to build a squad at least capable of breaking back into the top four next season after they ended up fifth last term, meaning that they have had to settle for Europa League football.
