Insider plays down chances of Chelsea FC signing 25-year-old

Chelsea FC are unlikely to make a move to try and sign Wilfried Zaha should Eden Hazard leave this summer, according to transfer insider Ian McGarry.
The Belgian playmaker’s situation at Stamford Bridge has been a constant source of speculation this summer amid suggestions that he is keen on a move to Real Madrid.
Hazard has regularly been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and the player himself seemed to hint that a deal could be on the cards with his comments earlier this summer.
There have been suggestions that Chelsea FC could make a move to sign Zaha as a potential replacement for Hazard should the playmaker leave.
However, McGarry feels that a move for the Blues to land Zaha is highly unlikely because he is not on the same level as the 27-year-old PFA player of the year winner.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, McGarry said: “The idea Zaha could replace Hazard is comical. He isn’t in the same stratosphere.”
Chelsea FC are believed to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
The Blues completed their second signing of the summer last week when they tied up a deal to bring goalkeeper Rob Green to the club.
