Chelsea FC are ready to make a £30m move to try and sign Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Blues are keen to make a move to try and bring the Wales international across London ahead of the transfer deadline next month.

Ramsey’s future has been a source of speculation this summer as his current contract is due to expire next year and he has not yet signed a new deal with the north London club.

The same story says that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery seems to be convinced that Ramsey is going to stay at the club, but he also wants the situation sorted before the transfer window closes on 9 August.

The article says that Chelsea FC are “watching” negotiations and they could move to sign the midfielder if there is any deadlock in talks.

Chelsea FC are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as they prepare for Maurizio Sarri’s first campaign in charge.

The Blues have so far only signed Jorginho and Rob Green as they look to assemble a squad capable of winning the title next season.
