Chelsea FC are still in a good position to sign AS Roma and Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker, according to a report in Italy.

Website Football Italia is reporting that the Blues are still interested in a deal to sign the Brazilian shot stopper in the current transfer window.

The same article states that Chelsea FC are looking to find a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, with the Belgium international reportedly closing in on a move to Real Madrid.

According to the same story, new Blues manager Maurizio Sarri wants to sign a goalkeeper who is good with his feet to fit the Italian’s desired brand of football.

Liverpool FC have been heavily linked with a move to sign Alisson since the end of the Premier League season.

Alisson has established himself as a top goalkeeper in Serie A over the past two seasons in the Italian top flight.

The South American was Brazil’s number one at the World Cup in Russia ahead of Premier League winner Edinson.

Chelsea FC signed their first player in the summer transfer window after Italy international Jorginho completed a £57m switch to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last term.
