Journalist claims Chelsea FC would sell Eden Hazard for €130m
Daily Record reporter Ian McGarry claims Chelsea FC will sell Eden Hazard if the Blues receive a bid of around €130m
Chelsea FC would demand a transfer fee in the region of €100m to €130m for Eden Hazard this summer, journalist Ian McGarry has claimed.
The Blues forward is facing an uncertain future at the west London side following a difficult season for Chelsea FC.
The FA Cup winners finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table to miss out on a Champions League spot next term.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare in the 2016-17 season but the Blues struggled to defend their crown.
Antonio Conte has since been sacked following his disappointing second season in charge of the west London side.
The 27-year-old has been regularly linked with a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid over the past few seasons, although a deal hasn’t materialised so far.
But Cristiano Ronaldo’s switch to Serie A giants Juventus has left a void in the Real Madrid team.
Daily Record reporter McGarry believes Chelsea FC would be willing to sell Hazard this summer at the right price.
“They haven’t given a price,” McGarry told the Transfer Window podcast.
“My understanding is they would accept an offer between €100m and €130m for a player who they bought relatively cheaply when they got him a few years ago from Lille.”
Chelsea FC were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final last term after Eden Hazard’s decisive strike from the penalty spot.
