Chelsea FC lead the race to sign quality 22-year-old – report
Chelsea FC are now leading the race to sign CSKA Moscow star Aleksandr Golovin this summer, according to reports
Chelsea FC are now in “pole position” to secure the signing of CSKA Moscow star Aleksandr Golovin this summer, according to reports in the British media.
Website Goal is reporting that the Blues have made progress in their bid to sign the 22-year-old Russia international after holding a meeting with the player’s agent.
According to the same story, Juventus made a bid to try and sign Golovin earlier in the summer transfer window and appeared to be leading the race for his signature, but Chelsea FC are now thought to be at the front of the queue.
The same article says that Chelsea FC have told CSKA Moscow that they will get closer to their €30m (£27m) valuation of the talented attacker.
Despite all of the speculation, Chelsea FC are yet to officially announce any new signings this summer as they look to try and bolster their squad ahead of next season.
Chelsea FC ended up in fifth place in the Premier League table last season as they missed out on Champions League qualification, but they did end the campaign on a positive note by beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final back in May.
