Chelsea FC want to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus in a swap deal, according to a report
Chelsea FC are set to offer Juventus the chance to sign Alvaro Morata in exchange for Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain, according to a report in Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mail, is reporting that Morata is keen on a return to the Serie A champions this summer following a difficult season at Stamford Bridge.
The same article states that incoming Chelsea FC manager Maurizio Sarri wants to sign Higuain to bolster his attacking options at the west London side ahead of the 2018-19 season.
According to the same story, the Blues haven’t made official contact with Juventus to propose a swap deal involving the two strikers, but intermediaries have opened up initial dialogue between the two clubs.
The Italian media outlet report that Juventus still value Higuain at around £61m despite the Argentina international entering the twilight of his career,
Chelsea FC haven’t made any signings in the summer transfer window despite finishing in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
